Spread my wings and learn to fly…
Have that song in your head yet? 🙂
First, let me introduce you to my very first blog! As I am sitting here thinking about my upcoming birthday, I am watching “Elf.” One of my favorite Christmas movies. “SANTA, SANTA, I know him!!!” Such a classic! Every year I watch this movie and think about my year, and the upcoming Christmas holiday. Such a wonderful month full of joy, gift giving, and family time filled with calorie consuming sugar coated goodies!!!
Anyways, you are probably wondering why I chose an Eagle and the song as my first blog post. I thought “Spread my wings” described what I wanted to say in this first blog.
My first blog, is like an eagle spreading its wings to fly. Flying into the unknown. What is so great about eagles? Next I will mention several reasons why I am thinking like an eagle.
Eagles are majestic and powerful. An eagle is know for its action, speed and perception. It can spot a small rodent from several hundred/thousand feet in the air because of its sharp vision. It has powers of intuition, creativity and can use its power and strength with grace.
From PureSpirit.com, Trish Phillips wrote in her article, “Fly like the Eagle,” where she discussed Eagle Symbolism. She states that “when an eagle appears, you are on notice to be courageous and stretch your limits. Do not accept the status quo, but rather reach higher and become more than you believe you are capable of. Look at things from a new, higher perspective. Be patient with the present; know that the future holds possibilities that you may not yet be able to see. You are about to take flight.”
Certainly, we can all think like this right? I absolutely LOVE this!! And, I would like to think of myself and allow you to think of yourself as an eagle everyday! Spread your wings and let your life take off!!
Finally, as I plan on the blogs I wish to write, I think about this eagle. We, everyday, are about to take flight on new adventures. Whether those adventures are deciding to live a healthier life, leaving a toxic relationship, going on a SOLO adventure, or deciding to fight the “status quo” and be 35 and not get MARRIED or have CHILDREN (what??!!)). To each, their own! 🙂
Excuse me, while I soar into the unknown, and continue to reach higher and stretch my limits….and write off into the night. (Sipping, my syrup (Oh, I love syrup, its my favorite….thank you Elf”).
